For a bit of Valentine’s fun, I’ve made a cute little add-on for Hubble the Squid so you can now swap his eyes for a pair of hearts.
Hubble the Squid has always been a favorite freebie among fans of Projectarian patterns because he’s so quick and easy to make. The project has no sewing except for weaving in loose ends and attaching his eyes – which can either make him look sleepy or smiley, depending on which way you turn them. There’s even the option to make a jumbo Hubble as a hot water bottle holder.
Today’s new add-on is just as breezy as the Hubble we already know and love, making it a great option for DIY Valentine’s gifts. It takes about 2 hours from start to finish, so if you don’t have much time or need to make mutlilpes, this is the project for you.
I filmed the process when I made this add-on, so here’s a recipe-style demo video on my YouTube channel. (You should totally subscribe because I have loads of video content coming out this year, including the Hobbii mystery crochet-along soon.)
I hope you’ll enjoy this fun little freebie and please let me know how you liked it! Tag me @Projectarian on social media and use #ValentineHubble to share your pics and browse others’. Thanks for visiting and I’ll see you again soon!
