ABOUT THE PATTERN
Apollo is a life-sized jumbo amigurumi with long, floppy tentacles that naturally pose like a real octopus.
The suckers are crocheted onto the tentacles as you go. They can be made without suckers for a quicker project. To avoid weaving in loose ends on every sucker
This pattern is a repetitive, marathon project with very rewarding, impressive results.

HOT TIPS:
To avoid weaving in a loose end for every sucker, use a longer piece of yarn for crocheting batches of suckers at a time. Carry the yarn along the back of your workpiece between suckers instead of tying off after each one.
The tentacles are made with DC stitches for maximum floppiness. This can expose stuffing.
Optional solutions: Use thicker yarn for smaller gaps, use a stitch called the linked DC instead, or line the tentacles with pantyhose in a colour that matches your yarn.
These tips are experimental and not included in the pattern.
