PUFFERFISH PURSE WORKSHOP | CAPE TOWN YARN FESTIVAL 2024

If you’re going to be in Cape Town South Africa this March, you need to come and join me to the Cape Town Yarn Festival! I’ve been invited to present a workshop, so I designed theee cutest amigurumi that is both functional and cute, to teach you something new in a fun masterclass! It’s the kissy-faced Pufferfish Purse!

The Pufferfish Purse is a mini drawstring pouch that you can clip on the outside of your bag to keep small items handy, or inside your bag to keep valuables safe. You can also clip it to your belt-loop, key-chain, or anywhere else.

The funnest part of this little puffer though, is pulling his mouth into a kiss!

You also have the option to make your puffer smooth and tidy, or add some yarny spines to turn him into a prickly blow fish. The workshop will be on the afternoon of March 22nd at the festival in Fishoek, and seats are limited so book now to avoid missing out:

In this masterclass, we’ll cover a variety of techniques including basic colour-work, crocheting with 2 strands of yarn to create interesting colour combos, how to make a chain that has no loose end, and more. No matter your skill level, you’re guaranteed to learn something new and have a great time 🙂

The class is suitable for confident beginners and you’ll be provided with generous content and guidance to navigate the pattern, including mini video tutorials, a copy of the puffer pattern, and direct instruction by me. You’ll also get an extra mystery Projectarian pattern for free, plus a small gift to remember the day – and you’ll be entered into a lucky draw just for workshop participants! You can find more information about the workshop and all it entails here.

So come join us, and bring your friends along for a good time! Visit me on Instagram and let me know if you’re coming!

PS. I’ve had a massive number of requests for this pattern outside of the workshop. I’m not sure if it will be available after the workshop so your best bet is to come if you can. Otherwise, I will keep you posted in my newsletter, which you can subscribe to here, to find out about the pattern after the workshop.
