If you haven’t already joined in, now is the time!
The Underwater Tails crochet-along has finally arrived, and crocheting begins this Wednesday, June 5! As a quick recap: I designed an all-new amigurumi pattern for Hobbii and they produced the kits – now it’s time for you to dive in and get making! You can read more details in my announcement post here.
The kits were so extremely cool that they sold out super fast but you can still join in the crochet-along (CAL) and get the pattern completely free until the end of the CAL. The supplies used for this pattern are a mystery (because of the exclusive kits) and the creatures we’re making are also a mystery, so if you’re joining in and you don’t have a kit but you’d like to find out more about supplies, come on over to my Facebook group. I have a support group for all things Projectarian-related so you can pop in and chat with those who already have their kits. You can also follow the #UnderwaterTailsCAL hashtag on Instagram to gather hints of what’s in the kits.
My reversible amigurumi patterns have been very popular since I designed the first one – and the amigurumi we’re making in this CAL is also reversible – so I’m sure you’re going to love this one too. I am especially excited about the specific types of creatures we’re going to be making and I can’t wait to get to the end of the CAL and reveal what they are! All I can show for now are teasing sneak peeks and some little schools of fish 🙂
I am also very excited about the videos that come with this project. I filmed fully detailed tutorials to demonstrate each part of the pattern, and as a participant, you’ll have access to watch those on Hobbii’s YouTube channel. If you have any reservations about the difficulty level of this project, rest assured that there is SO much demonstrative content and support for this event that you can’t possibly get stuck!
Speaking of videos, I went live with the very lovely Luisa from Hobbii a few weeks ago and we had a super fun time discussing the CAL and answering viewers’ questions. If you’d like to catch up on what was discussed during the stream, including tidbits about the secret project, check it out here:
Preparing for this project has been huge but I love working with Hobbii who are extremely friendly, generous and professional. I love their people and their product, and I keenly look forward to continued collaboration with them.
I am SO looking forward to seeing your progress throughout the CAL so please post lots of pics and videos and tag me and Hobbii, @projectarian and @hobbii_yarn on social media! We can’t wait!!!
See you in the CAL!
