PUFFERFISH PURSE
I made 2 over-sized Pufferfish Purses. The first picture below shows their size in comparison to the original little puffer!!!
PUFFER OPTION 1 – GIGANTIC JUMBO SIZE

The gigantic jumbo puffer is the size of a backpack! It was exciting to experiment with super bulky yarn to see how big the bag would turn out. I am pleased to let you know it works, however, Udon is maybe not the best option for a durable bag, as it’s more like a roving kind of yarn that snags quite easily. I would maybe use something like Friends Ribbon if I made another one, but pictured below is what I used for this giant. I double-stranded the yarns with Friends Cotton (this makes crocheting with textured yarns easier), and the fins are 6 strands of the cotton. I used a 15 mm hook throughout. On the lips, I did the last round with SC instead of HDC. Of course you don’t need as many colours as I used, but I like lots of colours!

The next size down is an oversized Pufferfish Purse made with chenille yarns. This one is ghostish with a pale body and dark eyes. I used Hobbii’s new Toucan Sprinkle yarn for these darker accents (I am completely obsessed with this yarn!!!). I double-stranded the body and belly with Frutta (which I LOVE), and double-stranded everything with Friends Cotton, except for the fins which are 3 strands of Hobbii’s new Jade yarn (which feels a lot like mohair). I used a 6 mm hook for everything, and switched to a 3mm hook for the eyes. On the lips, I did the last round with SC instead of HDC.

JUJU THE WHALESHARK
The original pattern is a reversible on that flips inside to reveal Juju the Whale Shark on one side and Gumdrop the Axolotl on the other side! This time, I made a small, non-reversible Juju with the Black Friday yarns.

I double-stranded Hobbii’s limited edition Black Friday Candy Cake with Silly Socks Flower Pop! The Candy Cakes seem to be sold out by now, but Frutta would be a good substitute for a similar look, so I’ll link that below instead. For the spots, I just use some white Friends Cotton (single stranded) and for the eyes I used sold colours from the Candy Cake ball. I used a 4.5 mm hook for everything, and a 1.5mm hook for the eyes.

POLLEN THE BEE
This chubby little guy is from my new book, Crocheting Reversible Amigurumi. Being that the pattern is in a book, I’m unable to discount it but the book is already great value for money. It’ll teach you all the easy ways to crochet with furry yarn, and it comes with lots of patterns to practice with. The patterns are all reversible models that flip inside out to reveal something else on the other side – so you can make pollen turn into a beehive – or you can make them like normal, stuffed amigurumi.
I used my new favorite Toucan Sprinkle for this guy, double-stranded with Silly Socks Disco for a neon pop! To match colours, I used Amigo XL for his head, and Friends Cotton for the rest. I used a 5mm hook for the thicker yarns, and a 3 mm hook for the rest.
